Super Smash 2025–26 squads
The Super Smash 2025–26 squad directory contains 186 season-specific names across all 12 teams: 84 in the men's competition and 102 in the women's competition. Each card is a reviewed tournament roster, not a 2026–27 contract list or proof that every named player appeared in a match.

What is included in the Super Smash 2025–26 squad directory?
The directory keeps the six men's teams and six women's teams as independent season records. The men's cards contain 84 names and the women's cards contain 102, using the team identities shown in the completed competition.
The lists reflect the reviewed 2025–26 tournament roster records available after the season. They do not silently replace those players with newer 2026–27 domestic contracts, and each card links to the roster record used for its names.

Six teams in each competition
How are the 186 squad names divided?
The men's directory ranges from 12 names for Central Stags and Wellington Firebirds to 19 for Otago Volts. The women's records range from 15 for Northern Brave Women to 19 for Canterbury Magicians.
Those different totals reflect the reviewed tournament roster records; they are not evidence that teams operated under different playing-XI rules. Match cards still contained 11 players per side, with availability and replacements changing during the campaign.
| Competition | Teams | Roster names | Smallest record | Largest record |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Men's Super Smash | 6 | 84 | 12 | 19 |
| Women's Super Smash | 6 | 102 | 15 | 19 |
Roster membership is not a scorecard
Does every listed player have a Super Smash appearance?
No. A season roster can include an available, contracted or replacement player who did not enter a playing XI. The lists therefore answer who appeared in the reviewed squad records, while the match archive and completed-season statistics answer who played and what they did.
This distinction also applies to overseas and international players whose availability covered only part of the season. A name is not given an appearance, run or wicket merely because it is present on a roster card.
No 2026–27 contract leakage
Why do some team guides show different player lists?
A team guide may carry newer 2026–27 contracts because it follows the current club or association. This directory is fixed to the completed 2025–26 Super Smash season, so a later signing, release or contract renewal does not rewrite the historical tournament roster.
The season boundary is especially important for men's teams whose associations announced new domestic contract groups after the competition ended. Readers can use the local team guide for the newer state without confusing it with this archive.
Leadership labels need their own evidence
Why do the squad cards not guess captains?
The reviewed roster records do not consistently mark one season captain for every team. The cards say so rather than carrying a captain forward from another format, a single match or the 2026–27 contract cycle.
Match-specific captaincy can change with availability. A captain label will be added only where a season announcement or scorecard set supports the same scope as the squad card.
