Top three in each table
How did teams qualify for Super Smash Finals Weekend?
First place advanced directly to the relevant Final. Northern Brave Men and Wellington Blaze took those direct places after leading their separate tables.
Second and third met in an Eliminator. Auckland Aces played Canterbury Kings in the men's match, while Northern Brave Women played Auckland Hearts in the women's match; the complete results archive records the four knockout score lines.
| Competition | Direct to Final | Eliminator second | Eliminator third |
|---|---|---|---|
| Men | Northern Brave Men | Auckland Aces | Canterbury Kings |
| Women | Wellington Blaze | Northern Brave Women | Auckland Hearts |
Third place settled by NRR
Why did Auckland Hearts qualify ahead of Central Hinds?
Auckland Hearts and Central Hinds both finished with five wins, four losses, one no-result and 25 points. Auckland took third place with +0.316 NRR, ahead of Central's −0.281.
The equal points total did not create an extra playoff. Auckland entered the women's Eliminator from third, beat Northern Brave Women and then reached the Final against Wellington Blaze.
Tie and no-result stay separate
How is the men's tied match shown in the table?
Northern Brave Men and Otago Volts tied at 166/6 on 4 January. Their table rows therefore show one tie each rather than counting that completed match as a no-result.
Northern's remaining three unfinished matches are listed under NR, while Otago has one NR. Keeping the T and NR columns separate reconciles all ten league matches for both teams without changing their official point totals.
Final at 31 January cutoff
What is included in the Super Smash points tables?
Each table covers ten league matches per team and 30 league matches overall. Wins, losses, ties, no-results, NRR and points come from the final season standings, with the match archive used to reconcile the result categories.
Eliminator and Final performances belong to the results and statistics records. Northern Brave Men's and Wellington Blaze's titles do not change the league rankings displayed here.
