Lanka Premier League 2026 schedule and results

Five franchises played eight league matches each, producing 20 fixtures before the top four entered Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final. Nineteen league matches had a winner; Dambulla Sixers versus Jaffna Kings on 2 August ended without a result.

Jaffna Kings finished first and advanced directly to the Final. Second-placed Galle Gallants lost their first playoff meeting with Jaffna, then beat Colombo Kaps in Qualifier 2 and won the title rematch at R. Premadasa Stadium.

Jaffna Kings topped the league table with five wins, two losses, one no-result and 11 points. Galle Gallants placed second on 10 points, Colombo Kaps third on eight and Kandy Royals fourth on six.

Dambulla Sixers finished fifth with five points and did not advance. The league-stage positions decided each team's playoff entry; the four knockout matches did not add points or alter the final table.

Jaffna beat Galle in Qualifier 1 after making 242/2, while Colombo Kaps removed Kandy Royals by 68 runs in the Eliminator. Galle then chased Colombo's 176 in 18.4 overs to earn a second match against Jaffna.

The Final produced a different contest from Qualifier 1. Jaffna were dismissed for 123, and Galle reached 126/5 in 15.5 overs to win by five wickets with 25 balls remaining.

Galle opened the season by defending 213/6 against Jaffna, then completed the league phase 5–3. Their Qualifier 1 defeat forced them into the longer playoff route, but a six-wicket win over Colombo created a third meeting with the league leaders.

Galle's Final win came through the lowest opposition total in their three matches against Jaffna. The Kings fell from 242/2 in Qualifier 1 to 123 all out in the Final, leaving a chase that Galle completed before the end of the 16th over.

The season began with five matches at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo, moved to Dambulla for nine matches and then to Pallekele for six. All four playoffs were held at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

That creates four ground records across Colombo, Dambulla and Kandy. The two Colombo grounds remain separate venues even though both use the same city label in the result rows.

The archive covers the men's 2026 Lanka Premier League from the Galle–Jaffna opener through the title rematch. Every row gives a final outcome, score line, date, stage and venue; the Dambulla–Jaffna no-result records only Dambulla's completed innings because no second innings was established in the reviewed ledger.

The displayed start times follow the final competition calendar and use Sri Lanka local time. The final league table, squads and player statistics remain separate season records with their own evidence cutoffs.
