What is confirmed for the Duleep Trophy 2026/27?
BCCI has confirmed a six-team, five-match knockout competition from 23 August to 10 September. East, North East, North and West zones begin in the quarter-finals, while Central and South zones enter at the semi-final stage.
All six 15-player squads were announced on 11 August. No match had started at the 16 August cutoff, so the page does not describe a result, current runs leader, wickets leader or confirmed semi-final opponent.

What counts as Duleep Trophy 2026 news?
This page covers the BCCI men's 2026/27 zonal first-class competition beginning on 23 August. Reports, squads, leaders and results from the 2025/26 edition remain outside this season record even when the team names are unchanged.
A current BCCI announcement, schedule or scorecard must support a selection change, playing eleven, result or qualification update. Search snippets, social reposts and older-season articles are discovery material, not a sufficient source for a public update.
Tournament watch
How will results and later squad news be added?
A quarter-final result will update the completed match row and the affected semi-final opponent only after BCCI publishes the outcome. Reviewed scorecards will then unlock current-season batting and bowling aggregates without treating a live, partial innings as a final leaderboard.
A withdrawal, replacement or captaincy change will be dated and attached to the affected squad. The original 11 August selection will remain identifiable rather than being silently rewritten as though the later change had always applied.
