Competition overview
The Duleep Trophy 2026/27 opens India’s senior domestic red-ball season on 23 August. Six zonal teams play five first-class knockout matches at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, with the final scheduled from 6 to 10 September.
East Zone face North East Zone and North Zone meet West Zone in the two quarter-finals. Central Zone and South Zone enter at the semi-final stage. Rajat Patidar captains Central Zone, Ishan Kishan leads East Zone, Kanhaiya Wadhawan leads North Zone, Jonathan Rongsen leads North East Zone, Tilak Varma leads South Zone and Ruturaj Gaikwad leads West Zone.
