Gujarat Giants added Kalita as an injury replacement for Sadhu. The later official franchise directory lists Kalita in the final 18-player squad rather than counting both as simultaneously active.

UP Warriorz followed a seven-wicket chase with a 22-run defence against Mumbai Indians. Those remained UPW's only two wins in the completed eight-match league campaign.

How did RCB win WPL 2026?
RCB won their first five league matches, lost to Delhi and Mumbai, then beat UP Warriorz to finish first. The 6–2 record produced 12 points and the direct Final place reserved for the league leader.
Delhi reached the title match through the Eliminator and set the highest target in a WPL Final. Mandhana and Voll's opening partnership left RCB needing 39 from the final 38 balls, and the chase finished at 204/4 with two balls unused.
Two documented replacements
How did the January squad changes affect the record?
Kalita replaced Sadhu in Gujarat's active squad, so the final franchise directory remains an 18-player snapshot. UP Warriorz use a different presentation: their complete registration timeline retains Litchfield's six-match contribution and Jones's later replacement place.
A replacement changes eligibility from the announcement date; it does not erase completed appearances. The squad page labels the two source states separately instead of forcing both teams into the same roster model.
Completed-season boundary
What belongs in the WPL 2026 news timeline?
The timeline records official season-building, result and replacement events that changed the 2026 reader picture. It does not reproduce every interview, clip or sponsor item from the competition feed.
Later retention, trade or 2027 schedule news belongs to the next season unless an official announcement explicitly changes the completed 2026 record. Match results, table positions and player totals remain fixed at the 5 February cutoff.
