Vitality Blast 2026 points tables
Hampshire Hawks, Notts Outlaws and Northamptonshire Steelbacks won the three final Vitality Blast 2026 group tables. Surrey, Yorkshire and Somerset also qualified automatically, while Essex and Gloucestershire advanced as the two strongest third-placed counties after all 108 group matches.
Final after 108 group matches
Who topped the Vitality Blast 2026 groups?
Hampshire Hawks led the South Group with 32 points, Notts Outlaws won the North Group with 32, and Northamptonshire Steelbacks topped Central and West with a competition-best 36. Every county completed 12 group matches.
The three tables remain separate because qualification began with regional finishing position. The top two in each group advanced automatically, then the best two third-placed records supplied the final quarter-final places.

Eight quarter-final places
Which counties qualified from the final tables?
The top two in each region qualified automatically: Hampshire and Surrey from the South, Notts and Yorkshire from the North, and Northamptonshire and Somerset from Central and West.
Essex and Gloucestershire completed the eight-team field as the two strongest third-placed counties. Lancashire finished third in the North but missed the cross-group comparison on points.
| Group | Winner | Runner-up | Third place |
|---|---|---|---|
| South | Hampshire Hawks | Surrey | Essex · qualified |
| North | Notts Outlaws | Yorkshire | Lancashire Lightning · eliminated |
| Central and West | Northamptonshire Steelbacks | Somerset | Gloucestershire · qualified |
Two places across three groups
How were the third-placed qualifiers decided?
Essex and Gloucestershire each finished on 28 points, four ahead of Lancashire's 26, so both advanced without requiring net run rate to separate qualification from elimination.
Essex's +0.354 net run rate placed them ahead of Gloucestershire's +0.288 in the third-place order. Lancashire's tied match contributed two points, but its final total remained below both qualifiers.
| Third-placed county | Points | NRR | Outcome |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essex | 28 | +0.354 | Qualified |
| Gloucestershire | 28 | +0.288 | Qualified |
| Lancashire Lightning | 26 | -0.335 | Eliminated |
Tie is not a no-result
Why do three North Group rows include ties?
Derbyshire and Yorkshire both made 215 on 28 June, then Derbyshire and Lancashire both made 150 on 6 July. These were completed tied matches, not abandoned fixtures or no-results.
Yorkshire and Lancashire therefore show one tie each, while Derbyshire show two. All three rows show zero no-results, keeping the official T and N/R columns distinct.
Two-point deduction applied
Why did Sussex finish with 10 points from three wins?
Three wins would normally produce 12 points under the 2026 four-points-per-win system. Sussex began the Blast campaign with a two-point deduction following an ECB ruling, leaving the Sharks with an official total of 10.
The deduction changes Sussex's points total but not the recorded 3–9 win-loss record. StumpScope retains the official final table rather than recalculating the row as if no sanction had applied.
Official totals checked
Do the Vitality Blast points totals reconcile?
Yes. The 108 group matches produced 106 wins and two ties, so the 18 team rows contain 106 wins, 106 losses and four tie entries. There were no no-results.
At four points per win and two per team in a tie, the match records generate 432 points. Applying Sussex's two-point deduction produces the 430-point total shown across the three official tables; net run rate is retained from the ECB standings rather than rebuilt from partial innings data.
| Check | Count | Points produced |
|---|---|---|
| Decisive matches | 106 | 424 |
| Tied matches | 2 | 8 |
| Base points | 108 matches | 432 |
| Sussex deduction | -2 | 430 final total |
Group-stage boundary
What do the final tables include?
The standings close after all 108 group matches on 12 July 2026. They cover 12 matches per county and the records used to determine the eight quarter-finalists.
The four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and Final appear on the results page but do not alter these regional tables. Northamptonshire's eventual title is therefore a knockout outcome, separate from their first-place Central and West record.
