ILT20 Season 4 squads and captains

The ILT20 Season 4 squad directory contains 147 source-scoped names across six franchises. Abu Dhabi, Desert Vipers and Dubai use final Season 4 registers; Gulf follows its current post-season directory, while MI Emirates and Sharjah preserve wider campaign timelines so later additions and replacements are not silently erased.

Six teams · 147 source-scoped names

What does the ILT20 Season 4 squad directory include?

The six cards follow the strongest roster state available for each franchise rather than forcing one opening-day snapshot across the competition. Three are final Season 4 lists, one is a current post-season directory and two are campaign timelines that preserve documented additions.

Each card therefore carries its own scope note and source. A player name confirms roster membership within that stated boundary; match appearances still require a scorecard and are not inferred from selection alone.

Appointment and match scopes kept separate

Who captained each ILT20 Season 4 team?

Jason Holder led Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Kieron Pollard captained MI Emirates and Tim Southee led Sharjah Warriorz. James Vince was Gulf Giants' retained captain, with Moeen Ali also leading matches during the campaign.

Two teams need a wider label. Lockie Ferguson was Desert Vipers' appointed captain before injury shifted the role to Sam Curran, who led the title-winning Final. Dasun Shanaka was Dubai Capitals' season captain, while Mohammad Nabi captained the Eliminator.

Final lists, live directory and timelines

Why do the six ILT20 squad counts differ?

The counts reflect source state, not a universal maximum. Abu Dhabi has 21 names, Desert Vipers 23 and Dubai Capitals 24 in their final Season 4 registers. Gulf's live directory has 24 names after dropping two completed-season replacements.

MI Emirates' 25-player record preserves wildcards and documented later changes. Sharjah's 30-name timeline combines its 26-player launch squad with four in-season participants established by match squads or the completed statistical record.

Selection is not a scorecard

Does every listed player have an ILT20 Season 4 appearance?

No. Squad inclusion establishes that a player belonged to the source record, not that the player entered a starting XI. Availability, injury, replacement timing and overseas-player combinations can all leave a registered player without an appearance.

The same rule works in reverse for the Gulf directory: Pathum Nissanka and Nuwan Thushara are absent from the current roster page but remain part of the completed Season 4 match and statistical record. Historical contributions are not deleted when a live directory changes.

Season 5 kept separate

Are these the ILT20 Season 5 squads?

No. ILT20 Season 5 is scheduled for 22 November to 20 December 2026, but this directory describes the completed Season 4 source states. It does not carry all 147 names into the next competition.

At the 17 August cutoff, ILT20 had announced limited pre-auction signings ahead of the 1 October auction. Those current confirmations belong to Season 5 team records and cannot replace or retroactively rewrite the Season 4 squad archive.
