Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Squad, Season 4 Results & Stats
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders finished fourth in the ILT20 Season 4 league table, won the Eliminator and exited in Qualifier 2. This hub separates the ten-game table from the 12-match campaign, explains why fourth became third overall, tracks the four-loss slide and late recovery, treats the 21-player register as selection rather than appearance evidence, and maps six Abu Dhabi, three Dubai and three Sharjah matches.

Team overview
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders at a glance
Abu Dhabi Knight Riders are the Knight Riders Group's UAE franchise in the International League T20. The team itself competes in ILT20; Kolkata Knight Riders, Trinbago Knight Riders and Los Angeles Knight Riders are separate teams in the group's wider cricket network.
In Season 4, ADKR finished fourth in the ten-match league stage with four wins and six losses. They beat Dubai Capitals by 50 runs in the Eliminator before MI Emirates ended their campaign by seven wickets in Qualifier 2, leaving ADKR third overall.
Jason Holder captained the side and Dwayne Bravo served as head coach. The official squad combined established international players with four UAE players and Associate representatives from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Namibia and the United States.
League and playoff scopes
Why does the ADKR campaign contain 12 matches, not 10?
The ILT20 league table covers ten round-robin matches. ADKR finished fourth there with four wins, six losses, eight points and the final playoff place.
The Eliminator added a 50-run win over third-placed Dubai Capitals. Qualifier 2 then added a seven-wicket loss to MI Emirates, extending the completed campaign to 12 matches.
Those knockout results do not rewrite the league table. The accurate combined record is five wins and seven losses overall, while the published table remains 4–6.
Placement versus seeding
How did fourth-placed ADKR finish third overall?
Fourth place was ADKR's league-stage seed, not the final tournament classification. Their Eliminator victory removed third-seeded Dubai Capitals and moved the Knight Riders into the last three.
MI Emirates then won Qualifier 2 and advanced to the final. ADKR exited one round later than Dubai, so the completed season record lists the Knight Riders third and the Capitals fourth.
This distinction matters because 'fourth in the table' and 'third overall' are both correct only when their stage is stated.
Non-linear qualification path
How did ADKR recover after losing four matches in a row?
After winning the opener, ADKR lost four consecutive games and stood at 1–4. One-run and four-wicket wins over Desert Vipers and Gulf Giants revived the campaign before two more defeats made the final league match decisive.
Phil Salt and Michael Pepper then shared an unbroken 179-run opening stand as ADKR beat Gulf Giants by 32 runs. That fourth league win secured the last playoff berth.
Pepper followed with 72 in the Eliminator, but the recovery stopped in Qualifier 2. The late surge changed qualification and final placement without erasing the six league losses.
Roster versus appearances
Did every player in ADKR's final 21-player squad appear?
No. The official release is a registration list containing 13 international players, four UAE players and four Associate players. Registration confirms squad status, not a playing-XI appearance.
Player totals must come from completed scorecards and statistics. Phil Salt's ten innings, Alishan Sharafu's 11 and Michael Pepper's five are appearance evidence; the 21-name register alone is not.
The squad grid preserves the final roster categories while the leaders section reports only output recorded in completed matches.
Shared UAE grounds
How many ADKR Season 4 matches were actually in Abu Dhabi?
Six of ADKR's 12 completed matches were at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Three were in Dubai and three in Sharjah, including Qualifier 2.
The 'home venue' label therefore describes the franchise base, not an exclusive-stadium schedule. ILT20 assigns teams across all three UAE grounds and stages playoffs at predetermined venues.
Keeping the 6–3–3 split visible prevents every ADKR-branded fixture from being mistaken for an Abu Dhabi home match.
Reached Qualifier 2
League stage: fourth with four wins, six losses and eight points. Playoffs: beat Dubai Capitals in the Eliminator, then lost Qualifier 2 to MI Emirates. Overall record: five wins and seven losses from 12 matches.
