Sunrisers Eastern Cape topped the final SA20 Season 4 table with 28 points from five wins, two no-results and four bonus points. Pretoria Capitals and Paarl Royals both finished on 24 points, while Joburg Super Kings took the fourth playoff place on 22.

Who topped the SA20 Season 4 points table?
Sunrisers Eastern Cape finished four points clear at the top. Their 28-point total combined five wins, two no-results and a competition-high four bonus points, while their +1.762 net run rate was also the strongest in the six-team table.
Pretoria and Paarl had identical 5–4 records, one no-result, two bonus points and 24 points. Net run rate placed Pretoria second and Paarl third; Joburg's 22 points secured the final playoff position.

How did bonus points affect the SA20 table?
SA20 awards four base points for a win and two to each team for a no-result, then records earned bonus points in a separate BP column. The final total for every team reconciles as win points plus no-result points plus the official bonus figure.
Sunrisers gained four bonus points, twice as many as Pretoria, Paarl and Joburg. Durban earned one and MI Cape Town none; the table displays those values instead of leaving readers to infer why teams with similar win totals have different points.

Why did Pretoria finish above Paarl on 24 points?
Pretoria Capitals and Paarl Royals matched each other on played, wins, losses, no-results, bonus points and total points. Their official net run rates therefore separated the two teams.
Pretoria's +0.218 placed them second, while Paarl's -0.922 placed them third. Both qualified, but the order sent Pretoria to Qualifier 1 against Sunrisers and Paarl to the Eliminator against Joburg.

How did Joburg take the final SA20 playoff place?
Joburg beat Paarl by 44 runs in the last league match and moved to 22 points. That put JSK three points above Durban's Super Giants, whose season had already closed on 19 points after three wins and three no-results.
MI Cape Town finished sixth on 14 points. The defending champions needed a bonus-point win in their last match and other results to stay alive, but their seven-wicket loss to Sunrisers left Joburg and Durban contesting the final opening.
Playoffs excluded from the ladder
Did the SA20 Season 4 playoffs change the table?
No. The table closed after Match 30 on 19 January, when every team had completed ten league fixtures. Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final did not add wins, losses, bonus points, net run rate or total points.
Sunrisers therefore remain first in the final league-stage table despite losing Qualifier 1, while Pretoria remain second despite reaching the Final directly. The championship result belongs to the knockout record, not the standings calculation.
