UP Warriorz Team: Squad, Results, Stats & Schedule

UP Warriorz represent Uttar Pradesh in the Women's Premier League and are owned through Capri Sports. They were one of the competition's five founding franchises in 2023.

Their first season remains the team's only playoff appearance: UPW placed third before losing the Eliminator to Mumbai Indians. They finished fourth in 2024 and fifth in both 2025 and 2026.

Meg Lanning took over as captain for 2026 and led the batting with 248 runs. Phoebe Litchfield added 243 at a strike rate above 154 before an injury ended her season after six matches.

UPW lost their first three games, beat Mumbai Indians twice in three days, then lost the final three to finish fifth with two wins, six defeats, four points and net run rate -1.076.

The 20 names form a season registration timeline, not a claim that all 20 were active together. Tara Norris withdrew before the tournament and Charli Knott replaced her; Phoebe Litchfield was then ruled out after six matches and Amy Jones replaced her for the remainder.

Keeping each outgoing player beside the replacement preserves what happened and who contributed. A final active-list snapshot would hide Litchfield's 243 runs, while an original squad alone would omit Jones and Knott.

Litchfield played six matches and scored 243 runs before injury ended her tournament. The WPL then approved Jones as her replacement on 28 January for the remaining matches.

Replacement changes eligibility from that point; it does not delete completed appearances or statistics. Litchfield remains the season's second-highest UPW run-scorer even though Jones occupied the later roster place.

Both UPW wins came against Mumbai Indians: a seven-wicket chase on 15 January and a 22-run defence two days later. They lost the other six matches.

A head-to-head sweep against one opponent produced four points, but it did not offset three losses before that sequence and three after it. League qualification measures the full eight-game record, not a single favourable matchup.

There was no sole leader. Sophie Ecclestone, Deepti Sharma and Shikha Pandey each finished with seven wickets across the eight-match campaign.

Their workloads and economy rates differed, so seven wickets supports a three-way team lead rather than identical seasons. Deepti's 131 runs make her the leading two-skill contributor, not the sole top bowler.

Ekana Stadium remains the franchise's Lucknow home and staged UPW's first home leg in 2025. The official 2026 schedule instead placed the league phase in Navi Mumbai and Vadodara.

A represented city and a season's match venues are different facts. Calling Ekana the home ground does not authorize inventing a 2026 Lucknow fixture when all eight UPW matches were scheduled elsewhere.
