Team overview
Melbourne Stars at a glance
Melbourne Stars are Cricket Victoria's green men's Big Bash League club. They have played every BBL season since 2011/12 and are distinct from Melbourne Stars Women, whose WBBL squad and results are tracked separately.
The Stars have reached three finals—BBL|05, BBL|08 and BBL|09—but remain without a men's title. They also topped the league stage in BBL|01 and BBL|03 before losing in the semi-finals.
BBL|15 brought a fourth-place league finish with six wins, four losses, 12 points and NRR +0.759. Their campaign ended in Hobart's rain-shortened Knockout, where a seven-over target of 85 left the Stars three runs short under DLS.
Sam Harper scored 381 runs and was both Stars player of the season and BBL|15 player of the tournament. Captain Marcus Stoinis added 273 runs and 15 wickets, while Tom Curran and Peter Siddle shared the team bowling lead with 16 wickets each.
