Worcestershire County Cricket Club was formed in 1865 and entered the County Championship as a first-class county in 1899. Worcestershire Rapids is the men's short-format identity; supporters also know the county as the Pears.
The 2026 Rapids split their 12 Central & West group matches evenly: six wins and six losses. They earned 24 points with net run rate -0.337, finished sixth and missed the three quarter-final places after a 78-run final-day defeat at Somerset.
Sikandar Raza topped the team batting with 258 runs in nine innings and also took nine wickets at 6.54 runs per over. Usama Mir took a team-high 20 wickets in all 12 matches, Matthew Waite added 17, and Adam Hose was second on the run list with 237.
Brett D'Oliveira began the Blast as captain. The club appointed Adam Hose to lead the rest of the T20 campaign from 27 June while D'Oliveira remained club captain and red-ball captain; Hose later missed time in the field, so match-day deputies still appeared.
The same men's county organisation also competes in the County Championship and One-Day Cup as Worcestershire. The Rapids won the 2025 One-Day Cup, while Worcestershire Rapids Women are a separate team; neither record is merged into these men's Blast totals.
