Trinbago Knight Riders 2026 Squad, Results & Fixtures

Trinbago Knight Riders is a men's Twenty20 franchise based in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The team began in 2013 as Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel and adopted the Knight Riders name after the 2015 season.

TKR is the CPL's most successful men's team with five championships: 2015, 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2025. Nicholas Pooran captains the defending champions and Dwayne Bravo, appointed before the 2025 campaign, is head coach.

The 2026 title defence started with a 19-run D/L win over St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. Matthew Breetzke made an unbeaten 35 in the chase, while Sunil Narine's 3/7 and Terrance Hinds' 3/33 led the bowling before rain ended play at 94/2 after 15 overs.

No. St Kitts & Nevis Patriots made 109/9 from 20 overs, but rain stopped TKR's chase at 94/2 after 15 overs. The official result awards TKR a 19-run win under the D/L method.

A rain-adjusted result compares the chasing side with a revised par score, not the two raw totals. Reversing the winner because 94 is lower than 109 would contradict the official match result.

The page therefore keeps the D/L label beside the score rather than presenting an ordinary completed chase.

It can establish a dated early lead, not a durable season conclusion. Matthew Breetzke's unbeaten 35 is the batting lead after one match, while Sunil Narine and Terrance Hinds share the wicket lead with three each.

Narine appears first because his 3/7 was more economical than Hinds' 3/33, not because he took more wickets. Every leader card carries the one-match cutoff.

The totals must be refreshed after later scorecards; they should never be described as final CPL 2026 statistics.

No. The franchise won its first title in 2015 as Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel, then adopted the Trinbago Knight Riders name after that season.

The 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2025 championships were won under the TKR identity. The five-title total belongs to the continuous franchise lineage, not five seasons played under one name.

Keeping the former name visible explains why official historical counts include 2015 without rewriting that season's identity.

No. The opening win came at Arnos Vale Ground in St Vincent, so TKR are 1–0 overall but have not yet played a 2026 home match.

Their five-match Queen's Park Oval block runs from 26 August to 2 September. Those fixtures can later support a home record, but the current win cannot be counted as one.

The distinction prevents represented home city, scheduled home ground and actual match venue from being treated as the same fact.

No. Dwayne Bravo is the published TKR head coach. Ryan ten Doeschate was appointed Head of Cricket Strategy across Knight Riders Sports, a group-level role.

A wider franchise-group appointment may influence strategy across several teams, but it should not silently replace the team-specific coach field.

The staff section therefore lists both roles with their scopes instead of turning an organizational announcement into a coaching change.
