Sialkot Team: Squad, Results, Stats & Schedule

Sialkot are a Pakistan Cricket Board regional side representing a seven-district cricket association in northern Punjab. The current team is a domestic regional programme, not a private city franchise: the RCA is the administrative body and PCB operates the National T20 Cup.

Captain Usama Mir's side recovered from a 40-run opening defeat against Karachi Blues by beating Lahore Blues, Abbottabad and Multan. Three wins from four group matches produced six points and a +1.294 net run rate, first place in Group B and a semi-final against Karachi Whites.

Karachi Whites chased Sialkot's 165/9 in 15.1 overs in that semi-final, ending the campaign by five wickets. Sialkot's complete main-event record was therefore five matches, three wins and two losses; there was no qualifier campaign to add.

Hasan Nawaz led the batting with 227 runs from five innings at 56.75 and a 156.55 strike rate, including an unbeaten 80 in the must-win Multan chase. Abdullah Shafique followed with 205 runs and hit 96 in the Abbottabad victory.

Usama Mir led the entire competition with 16 wickets in five matches at 10.19, including a tournament-record 6/8 against Lahore Blues and 4/36 against Abbottabad. His 86 runs at a 175.51 strike rate make him the clearest Sialkot two-skill contributor in this completed campaign.

The regional lineage includes the historic Sialkot Stallions, whose six National T20 titles and 25-match winning run remain a major part of Pakistan's domestic T20 history. Those honours are presented as regional lineage and are not mixed with the PSL's Multan Sultans or the separate Champions Cup Stallions team.

No. PCB's 4 March squad release named both players inside Sialkot's 17-player main group before the tournament, followed by six reserves. The page's earlier 15-plus-six-plus-two explanation was incorrect even though the 23-player total happened to be right.

This correction also protects a second boundary: being named in the squad is not proof of an appearance. Match scorecards and completed averages establish who played and what each player contributed.

Sialkot finished first. They and Abbottabad both earned six points from four matches, but PCB's final group report says Sialkot topped Group B on the better net run rate.

The later semi-final loss does not rewrite that league position. Sialkot's season finish is accurately expressed as Group B winners and semi-finalists: one describes the round robin, the other the knockout endpoint.

PCB identified 6/8 against Lahore Blues as the best T20 bowling figures in Pakistan domestic cricket at the time. Usama took the six wickets in 3.2 overs as Lahore collapsed to 100 chasing 211.

That wording is narrower than a world T20 record and broader than a tournament-only best. Across all five Sialkot matches, he finished with 16 wickets at 10.19 and remained the competition's leading wicket-taker.

Jinnah Stadium is the historic cricket ground in Sialkot city and useful regional context, but it was not a venue in this campaign. PCB centralized all 23 National T20 matches at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar.

A team's represented region and its tournament venue are separate facts. All five Sialkot results therefore retain Peshawar, while Jinnah Stadium is not mislabelled as the 2025/26 home ground.

No. The six National T20 titles and 25-match winning run belong to the historic Sialkot Stallions regional lineage. The 2026 Sialkot Stallionz expansion slot was renamed Multan Sultans before PSL 11, while ABL Stallions are a separate Champions Cup side.

The similar names make accidental title transfer easy. This page preserves the achievements as regional history without adding them to either franchise's independent competition record.
