Peshawar Region Squad, Results, Stats & T20 History

Peshawar Region represent Peshawar and the surrounding regional cricket structure in PCB domestic competitions. The regional side is not Peshawar Zalmi: the latter is a privately operated Pakistan Super League franchise with its own squad, results and honours.

PCB placed Peshawar in 2025/26 National T20 Group A with Karachi Whites, Lahore Whites, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur. Peshawar lost the two matches in which play was possible and had two fixtures abandoned, finishing fifth with two points and a net run rate of -1.085.

Yasir Khan's 65 against Lahore Whites made him the team run leader with 72. Nabi Gul scored 59, while Israrullah made 47 in his only innings. Mohammad Nawaz led the bowling with four wickets and Usman Tariq took three.

The current result followed a strong 2024/25 run in which Peshawar reached the National T20 final and Sahibzada Farhan amassed 605 runs. The region also won the 2015/16 national T20 title; the earlier Peshawar Panthers city side won in 2014/15 and is labeled as predecessor-era history rather than silently merged.

PCB announced a 15-player main squad and four reserves. Reserve wicketkeeper-batter Abuzar Tariq then opened the batting in both completed matches, scoring 26 against Lahore Whites and 11 against Faisalabad.

A reserve label describes the announcement stage, not a promise that the player cannot appear. The page therefore preserves the full 19-name season group and uses scorecards—not roster category—to establish actual participation.

Both points came from no-results. Peshawar lost the two matches that produced play, while rain and a wet outfield prevented results against Karachi Whites and Bahawalpur.

A points total is not a win count. The final Group A row of 0–2–2, two points and NRR -1.085 keeps the result types visible instead of making the team look as if it won once.

No. Every Group A fixture was scheduled at Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar, but PCB used the ground as the centralized venue for the tournament's group and semi-final phase.

The city and team aligned, yet opponents were also playing within the same event hub. Calling all four dates conventional home-and-away fixtures would hide the tournament format, especially when two dates were washed out without a ball.

They are two separate National T20 title editions tied to Peshawar cricket. PCB's historical review credits the city in both 2014 and 2015, but the earlier winner competed under the Peshawar Panthers name and the later winner as Peshawar.
