Perth Scorchers Women Team: Squad, Results, Stats & Schedule

Perth Scorchers Women are WA Cricket's women's Twenty20 franchise and one of the eight founding Women's Big Bash League teams. They share the Scorchers identity with the men's BBL side but maintain a separate squad, schedule and record.

The team won WBBL|07 in 2021 after finishing first in the league and defeating Adelaide Strikers in the Final. Perth have also been runners-up three times—WBBL|02, WBBL|03 and WBBL|11—and have reached the finals in eight of the first 11 seasons.

In WBBL|11, Perth placed third at 6–4 and 12 points. They beat Melbourne Stars by 28 runs in the Knockout and Sydney Sixers by 11 runs in the Challenger, before Hobart Hurricanes won the Final by eight wickets. The full campaign finished 8–5.

Beth Mooney led the team with 549 runs and made the official Team of the Tournament for a sixth time. Sophie Devine led the bowling with 15 wickets while adding 235 runs; Lilly Mills took 14 wickets and Chloe Ainsworth 13.

Before WBBL|12, a Scorchers development side is also scheduled for four T20 Spring Challenge matches in October 2026. That competition is shown separately because its selection and results are not the WBBL squad record.

Cricket Australia's January movement tracker listed seven contracted players and described Ruby Strange as uncontracted. A later April 2026 Cricket Australia report said Strange had a Perth Scorchers WBBL deal, so the later evidence raises the public tracker to eight.

The final WBBL squad size remains 15. Sophie Devine, Freya Kemp and Paige Scholfield were overseas players in WBBL|11, while several local players were out of contract at the January cutoff; none is silently carried into the new season without a current deal.

Third place set Perth's entry point into the WBBL|11 finals; it did not cap their final tournament position. They finished the ten-match league stage 6–4, then won the Knockout and Challenger to reach the Final.

The loss to Hobart Hurricanes made the complete record 8–5 and the final classification runners-up. League rank and tournament finish answer different questions, so both remain visible rather than one replacing the other.

The 8 November WBBL|12 match against Melbourne Stars is designated as a Perth home fixture but will be played at neutral North Sydney Oval. Four other designated home matches are at the WACA Ground.

A schedule's home label identifies the hosting team, not necessarily its home city. The page therefore records both fields: 'Home · neutral' for the designation and North Sydney for the actual venue.

They were different rain situations. Against Melbourne Stars, Perth received a revised target of 95 from nine overs and finished 78/8, 16 runs short. Against Adelaide Strikers, rain ended the chase at 55/2 after 9.1 overs, when Perth were nine runs ahead of the DLS par score.

Raw totals cannot be compared without the revised target, overs used and interruption point. That is why the results table preserves the DLS label instead of implying that 55 was inherently a stronger innings than 78.

Their last four matches were packed into one week: a must-win league game in Perth, the Knockout in Perth, the Challenger in Sydney and the Final in Hobart. The club calculated almost 4,500 kilometres of travel across three states during that run.

Perth won the first three, including the club's first interstate WBBL finals victory, before losing the Final. The 8–5 record alone hides the short recovery windows and interstate move between the Challenger and decider.
