Multan Sultans Team: Squad, Results, Stats & Schedule

Multan Sultans are a Pakistan Super League franchise representing Multan and South Punjab. The original identity debuted in 2018, won the 2021 title and reached four consecutive finals from 2021 through 2024.

The 2026 corporate route needs careful separation. Walee Technologies acquired the auctioned Multan franchise rights for PKR 245 crore. Separately, OZ Developers acquired the Sialkot Stallionz expansion franchise, entered a strategic partnership with CD Ventures, appointed Gohar Shah as chief executive and received approval to rename that team Multan Sultans. The familiar public identity returned through a different slot.

Ashton Turner captained Tim Paine's 2026 side. Multan won six of ten league games, finished third on 12 points with a +0.326 net run rate and entered Eliminator 1; Hyderabad Kingsmen's eight-wicket chase ended the campaign, leaving a 6-5 overall record and fourth-place playoff finish.

Steve Smith and Sahibzada Farhan tied on 380 runs, with Smith reaching the total in 11 innings and Farhan in ten. Peter Siddle led the bowling with 13 wickets, while Arafat Minhas combined 144 runs with nine wickets across all 11 matches.

Multan Region, the PCB domestic side, is a different team. Its National T20 squad, results and honours are not combined with this PSL franchise page.

No. HBL PSL's official announcement says the team operating as Sialkot Stallionz was renamed Multan Sultans on 3 March 2026. OZ Developers had acquired the Sialkot expansion franchise, then entered a strategic partnership with CD Ventures and appointed Gohar Shah as chief executive.

The Multan name, colours and public cricket legacy returned, but the competition slot changed. That is why the page preserves the nine-season brand history while disclosing the 2026 rights route instead of presenting uninterrupted legal ownership.

A documented trade changed four names before the campaign. Multan received Faisal Akram and Arafat Minhas from Quetta Gladiators; Quetta received Ahmad Daniyal and Jahanzeb Sultan.

The current 21-player club directory reflects the post-trade group. Treating the auction list as final would leave two actual Multan players out and keep two players who had moved to another franchise.

No. Multan Cricket Stadium remained the franchise's home-city venue, but all ten league matches were split between Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Bank Stadium in Karachi. Eliminator 1 returned the team to Lahore.

The league used six host cities, including Multan, yet team identity did not guarantee a home-city fixture. The result ledger therefore names the actual ground for every match rather than converting the franchise base into a venue claim.

Multan finished the ten-match league stage third at 6–4 with 12 points and a +0.326 net run rate. The league table set their playoff entry, not their final tournament classification.

Hyderabad Kingsmen then won Eliminator 1, so Multan ended 6–5 and fourth among the playoff teams. The extra loss changes the overall record without rewriting the completed league table.

Multan fell to 52/5 in 7.1 overs and then 93/7 in 13.2. Shan Masood carried his bat for 69 from 46 balls, but the innings closed at 159/9 after the top five other than Shan contributed 44 runs combined.

Hyderabad replied with 162/2 in 15.2 overs. Maaz Sadaqat and Usman Khan both made unbeaten 64s, and their 100-run second-wicket stand arrived in 52 balls, removing the scoreboard pressure Multan needed after the early collapse.
