MI New York at a glance
MI New York are a New York City-based Major League Cricket franchise owned and promoted by Indiawin Sports USA Inc within the Reliance Industries-backed Mumbai Indians family. Their results and trophies are separate from Mumbai Indians, MI Cape Town, MI Emirates and MI London.
The franchise won the inaugural MLC championship in 2023 after entering the playoffs fourth at 2-3. Three straight knockout wins followed, capped by Nicholas Pooran's unbeaten 137 in a seven-wicket final victory over Seattle Orcas.
MI New York exited the 2024 Eliminator, then rebounded from a 3-7 league campaign in 2025 to win three knockout matches and beat Washington Freedom by five runs in the final. That made MINY the first two-time MLC champions.
In 2026, Nicholas Pooran captained and Mark Boucher coached the side. MINY finished fourth in the league at 5-5, then made 266/9 with a T20-record 29 sixes in the Oakland Eliminator. Washington Freedom chased 270/4, ending the title defence at five wins and six losses overall.
