Melbourne Renegades Women at a glance
Melbourne Renegades Women are one of the eight foundation Women's Big Bash League clubs. The Cricket Victoria-owned team is based at Junction Oval in St Kilda and is tracked separately from the men's Melbourne Renegades.
The Renegades rose from eighth in WBBL|09 to first in WBBL|10. They finished the 2024 league stage on top and defeated Brisbane Heat in the MCG final to win the women's program's first championship.
Their WBBL|11 title defence ended in fifth place despite a 5-5 record, ten points and a +0.121 net run rate. Georgia Wareham produced 277 runs and 19 wickets, winning the club award, the WBBL Golden Arm and the tournament player award.
WBBL|12 begins at Junction Oval against Sydney Thunder on 29 October 2026. The ten-match draw is complete, but the playing list and head-coach appointment remain unfinished after Simon Helmot stepped down in April.
